This Privacy Policy applies to the King of Budz app, website, and related services. Third-party links or integrations within our App are not covered by this Privacy Policy. Please refer to the privacy policies of those services.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Updates will be communicated via in-app notifications or email.
4. Information We Collect
We collect personal information, such as your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and password. Location data may also be collected for store location and advertising purposes. See our full policy for detailed categories.
We also automatically collect certain technical information when you use our Services, including your IP address, device and browser type, and usage activity. This information is collected through analytics and error-monitoring tools described in Section 15, and through forms you submit to us.

10. Retention of Information
We retain personal information as long as necessary to fulfill business and legal requirements. Information you submit through our contact and inquiry forms, including your name, email address, phone number, message, and the IP address and browser information associated with the submission, is retained so that we can respond to and keep a record of your request. You may ask us to delete this information by contacting us via our contact form.

15. Cookies, Analytics, and Error Monitoring
We use cookies and similar technologies for performance, convenience, and marketing purposes. We also work with the following third-party providers to understand how our Services are used and to keep them reliable:
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to measure traffic and understand how visitors interact with our Services. This includes pages viewed, products browsed, items added to cart, checkout activity, completed orders, and approximate location and device information. Google processes this information in accordance with its own privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Sentry. We use Sentry for error monitoring and performance diagnostics so we can detect and fix problems. Sentry may receive technical information such as your IP address, device and browser details, and the actions leading up to an error. For a small sample of sessions, and for sessions where an error occurs, Sentry captures a replay of the on-screen activity to help us reproduce issues. These replays are configured to mask text content and block images and media. If you are signed in, a user identifier and email address may be associated with these diagnostics. Sentry processes this information in accordance with its own privacy policy.
16. AI-Powered Features
Some of our Services include AI-powered features, such as the virtual chat assistant on our contact page. When you submit a question to this assistant, your question (and limited context such as the store location you are viewing) is sent to our third-party AI provider, OpenAI, to generate a response. We do not store these chat conversations on our systems after your session, and your messages are not used to identify you. OpenAI processes the information it receives in accordance with its own policies. Please do not include sensitive personal or medical information in your chat messages, and note that responses are generated by AI, may be inaccurate, and do not constitute medical advice.
17. SMS / Text Messaging
King of Budz operates the KOB Rewards SMS program. The following terms describe how we handle mobile information and text-message opt-in data.
No sharing of mobile information. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support of our services (for example, SMS aggregators and messaging platforms such as Telnyx) is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Information we collect via SMS opt-in. When you opt in to receive text messages from King of Budz, we collect your mobile phone number, the timestamp of your opt-in, the source of your opt-in (web, in-store, or mobile app), and a record of your consent.
How we use this information. We use your SMS opt-in data to send marketing messages, account notifications, and transactional messages related to the KOB Rewards loyalty program; to honor opt-out requests; and to comply with carrier and regulatory requirements.
Retention. We retain SMS opt-in records for as long as you remain subscribed, plus a retention period after opt-out for compliance recordkeeping purposes. Opt-out records are retained indefinitely to document that a subscriber has unsubscribed.
Opt-out and data rights. You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message or by contacting us at marketing@kingofbudz.com. You may also exercise your applicable privacy rights, including rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information under laws such as the CCPA, by contacting us via our contact form.
